Oct 6 2009	Parents' Evening - 7.00 - 8.30 p.m. All parents are invited to our Parents' Evening in the nursery school. Lois will give a brief overview of the Reggio Approach to education and how this philosophy impacts on your child's learning experiences in the nursery school. Our guest speaker will be Jackie Valentine who works with the Parenting Project. She will share parenting tips for pre-school children. The election of our new parent governors will also take place at this meeting.

Oct 26 2009	Autumn Half Term The school will be closed from Monday 26th to Friday 30th October inclusive for the half term holiday.

Nov 2 2009	Exceptional Closure day - Parent/Teacher meetings in school The school will be closed for children on Monday 2nd November to allow parent/teacher meetings to take place today and during the afternoons of the remainder of this week. More information will follow in due course.

Nov 11 2009	Photographer in School A photographer from Opus Digital will be coming into school to take individual photographs of each child.

Nov 24 2009	Morning Class trip to Rowallane Gardens (pm class cancelled) The children in the morning class will travel by bus to Rowallane Gardens in Saintfield in search of a Christmas tree for school. In order to give each child the freedom to explore the grounds we ask that your child be accompanied by an adult. The safety of your children is our paramount concern. Please note there will be no afternoon class on this date.

Nov 25 2009	Full time class trip to Rowallane Gardens (no dinners today) The children in the full time class will be going on the trip to Rowallane Gardens today. Again, in the interests of safety your child must be accompanied by an adult.

Nov 26 2009	Afternoon class trip to Rowallane Gardens (no moring class today) The children in the afternoon class will be going on the trip to Rowallane Gardens today. Again, in the interests of safety we ask that each child be accompanied by an adult.

Dec 15 2009	Christmas Celebration Evening 7.00 - 8.00 p.m. - Morning Class We invite you and your family into the Nursery School to celebrate the coming of Christmas. The lights on our Christmas tree will be switched on and the children will sing some seasonal songs for you. We will also be holding a Book Fair on this evening and you will have an opportunity to browse a large selection of children's books which would make excellent Christmas presents. Refreshments will be served - we look forward to seeing you on the evening.

Dec 17 2009	Christmas Celebration Evening 7.00 - 8.00 p.m. - Afternoon Class Details as for morning class - see above.

Dec 21 2009	Christmas Party and last day of term - Afternoon Class The afternoon children will have their Christmas party in school today - school will finish at the normal time of 2.45 p.m.

Dec 22 2009	Christmas Party and last day of term - full time and morning classes The children from the full time and morning classes will be having their Christmas parties in school this morning. School will finish for both classes at 11.30 a.m.

Dec 23 2009	School closed for Christmas holidays The school will be closed from Wednesday 23rd December until Monday 4th January 2010 inclusive for the Christmas holidays.

Jan 5 2010	Exceptional Closure Day School will be closed on this date.

Jan 6 2010	First day of new term School re-opens for the Spring term at the usual time.

Jan 7 2010	Open Evening for prospective parents 5.30 - 7.30 p.m. The school will be holding an Open Evening for prospective parents and their children. You and your child are welcome to come and view the setting and surroundings and meet the staff. Applications for admission to the school in September 2010 will be available on the evening.

Jan 12 2010	T.A.C.T. visiting school The T.A.C.T. Wildlife Centre will be visiting each class accompanied by some of their wildlife friends!

Feb 15 2010	Half Term Holiday The school will be closed from Monday 15th - Thursday 18th February for the half term holiday.

Feb 19 2010	Exceptional Closure Day The school will be closed on this day.

Mar 10 2010	Children's Art Exhibition in school 6.30 - 8.00 p.m. The school will be holding a fund raising evening in the form of an exhibition of all of the children's artwork. You and your family are invited to view all of the paintings and take your own child's work home with you. All monies raised on this evening will go to school funds. Refreshments will be served. Please plan to attend.
